# Sobre Stablecoins

Stablecoins são moedas digitais projetadas para manter um valor estável ao serem atreladas (ou fixadas) a ativos do mundo real, como o dólar americano.

Ao contrário da maioria das criptomoedas, as stablecoins oferecem estabilidade de preço, tornando-as ideais para negociar, manter e transferir fundos sem variações significativas de valor.

As stablecoins mantêm valor por meio de respaldo por reservas, como moeda fiduciária (ex.: USDT, USDC) ou criptomoedas com sobrecolateralização. Algumas dependem de algoritmos para ajustar o fornecimento.
