Install Scoville Testnet Full Node

Everything you want to know about installing Scoville Testnet full node on your network

What is a node

A node in a decentralised system that also maintains a complete history on the disk and helps to answer any sort of request from the network. Generally, nodes allow individuals to become an integral part of decentralisation, making it more powerful yet convenient to operate and manage.

What is a full node

A full node verifies and approves each transaction and every single block on the blockchain. A full-node network can accept transactions and blocks from full nodes only. Hence, if you want complete control over your system, the implementation of full nodes is highly recommended.
Full nodes tend to reject transactions that do not comply with the consensus, and also in some cases, may reject connections sent by peers that don't.
Additionally, a full node:
  1. 1.
maintains a complete history on the disk that helps to answer any sort of request from the network.
  2. 2.
receives and validates new blocks and transactions.
  3. 3.
verifies states of all accounts in the blockchain.
